Fine Flannel or Melange Flannel?

Fine Flannel (0002744) is the classic in 20 solid colors, matching the Fine Flannel sets. Melange Flannel (0841380) is woven from differently colored yarns, has a mottled rather than solid appearance, and is even softer to the touch, in 14 colors matching the Melange bedding. Both keep you equally warm, both fit mattresses up to 22 cm high. If you prefer it particularly tight, choose the Fine Flannel Stretch (0002542) with stretch content, available in 90–100x200 cm, also up to 22 cm.

Sizes

Flannel is less stretchy than Jersey. Therefore, measure the height of your mattress: up to 22 cm, the sheet fits tightly and wrinkle-free, above that we recommend Fine Jersey or the box spring models from the fitted sheet overview. Care

Washable at 60 °C and suitable for tumble drying. No fabric softener, as it coats the brushed fibers and takes away the sheet's fluffiness. After the first wash, the surface becomes even softer.

Is a Flannel fitted sheet warmer than Jersey?
Yes. The brushed surface retains an air cushion between the body and the mattress, smooth Jersey does not. For those who get cold and for cold bedrooms, Flannel is the first choice in winter; if you sweat at night, stick with Jersey or Terry.

Are Flannel fitted sheets available in 140x200 and 180x200 cm?
Yes, Fine Flannel and Melange Flannel in 140–160x200 cm and 180–200x200 cm. The all-around elastic compensates for the 20 cm width difference.

Up to what mattress height does a Flannel fitted sheet fit?
Fine Flannel, Fine Flannel Stretch, and Melange Flannel up to 22 cm. For higher mattresses, choose a Jersey model: Fine Jersey and Jersey Elastic up to 30 cm, Box Spring fitted sheet up to 40 cm.

Does Flannel fit on a box spring bed?
Only if the mattress or topper is no higher than 22 cm. For typical box spring mattresses measuring 25 to 40 cm, we recommend the Jersey Elastic Box Spring from the 180–200x200 cm overview.

Does Flannel scratch the skin?
No. High-quality Flannel made from pure cotton is softly brushed. A scratchy feeling is usually caused by fabric softener or drying at too high a temperature.
