Which size for which age?

100x135 cm fits in children's beds with a children's blanket, usually up to about six years of age. When the child moves into a regular bed, 135x200 cm is the right choice. Almost every design is available in both sizes, so a change is possible without changing the motif. For babies in their first year of life, midwives recommend a sleeping bag instead of a blanket; Flannel is used there as a Flannel fitted sheet. Fine Flannel or melange flannel?

Fine Flannel is the classic with 160 g/m², densely woven and softly brushed. Melange flannel is our further development with a mottled color pattern, woven, dyed, and finished in Dingden. Both are made of 100% cotton, are certified according to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 and washable at 60 °C.

Care

Wash at 60 °C if hygienically necessary, otherwise 40 °C is sufficient. No fabric softener, it presses down the fluffy layer. Tumble drying is allowed and even makes the fabric softer. All tips under Washing Flannel bedding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Flannel too warm for children?
Flannel warms strongly, but it is breathable cotton and does not trap moisture. For summer nights, a lighter quality from the children's bedding is the better choice.

Does Flannel scratch children's skin?
No. Fine Flannel made of pure cotton is softly brushed, not scratchy.

Are the motifs also available in adult sizes?
Almost all: The children's designs are available in 100x135 cm and in 135x200 cm, only the penguins exclusively in 135x200 cm.
