Why solid colours almost always work

A pattern determines the look of a room. Solid colours do not – the effect comes from the quality: sateen has a glossy, elegant look, muslin is matte and casual, fine jersey soft and relaxed, and flannel warm and cosy. The same colour looks different in every fabric.

Mixing and matching made easy

If you already have patterned curtains or a striking rug, solid-colour bedding is the best choice. Conversely, solid-colour bedding plus a patterned cushion is the easiest way to change the look with the seasons without replacing the entire set.

Frequently asked questions

Are imperfections more visible on solid-colour bedding? Lint stands out more on very dark shades. Mid-tones such as storm grey, taupe or sage are the least sensitive in everyday use.
